Preferring to perform barefoot in a well-cut suit than the t-shirt and jeans combo of more cheeky English acts, Marcel’s deadpan stand-up, world-class poetry and bawdy chansons have been a huge hit all over Europe, Australasia and America. As he leans back from the audience, seemingly indifferent to them, they lean forwards, keen to prove selves worthy of being in his presence. A master.
